Investing in Sensors to Optimize Efficiency

Surdex continuously monitors updates to aerial data acquisition technology so that we can make improvements to our equipment, helping us better serve our clients. Within the past year, we have made the following updates to our acquisition equipment:
- Upgraded two of our Galaxy lidar sensors from Prime to T2000 – this improves our quality, high density, and rough terrain capabilities
- Updated one of our Phase One camera systems to the iXM-RS150F model – this sensor has a larger image size (150mp) than the iXM-RS100F (100mp)
- Added 4-band capability to one of our Phase One systems – both of our Phase One systems can now capture NIR data
- Purchased a gyro-stabilized mount to carry both a lidar sensor and the Phase One iXM-RS150F system – this is particularly advantageous for engineering projects requiring stereo extraction, dense matching or orthoimagery along with the lidar data
